It's been a chaotic week filled with social unrest, heartache over the state of our government, hospital visits with a crazy reaction to anesthesia (fun!), and my father's quickening towards the end of his time here on this planet.
Being that I'm an extroverted introvert with a VERY short social battery life, this quarantine really hasn't gotten to me yet... but man.. lately.. with everything else it's hard not to feel .. a bit lost.
Out of the blue yesterday my brother Tor reached out to me to say hello. When I lived in San Francisco, he was my partner in crime, my brother to relate to in the most chaotic times. shoulder to cry on, a person to make INSANE decisions with... and once when I was in drag performing Laura Branigan's self control at The Stud.. he ... was my pimp.
When we talked, it felt like all those memories came flooding back, and I didn't feel so alone. He is such a wonderful human being.
Today I decided to resurrect the "Homage/Dedications" sessions, which in the beginning of the BNB.. were like the CORNERSTONE to this show. It's been FIVE years since I've done one, and ... well ... I'm overdue.
This is for you Tor. I hope you dance your pants off to this.
