At the beginning of this year while out in Georgia, I found myself traveling out to a small town just west of Charlotte and Hickory North Carolina for work for a few months.
The last time I had been in North Carolina was when I lived in a town called Cary 19 years ago. On my way to my apartment in Philadelphia, my truck broke down right outside of Raleigh. The only person I knew was a friend I had met in the panhandle of Florida while being a teen runaway in the 90's.. who had relocated there.
Memories of my stay there plus the long drive through the countryside brought a few softer tracks to mind that don't really fit into any spectrum of the sets I normally play.. so I'd consider this an ETC set filled with soft roadtrip tracks, perfect for driving out into the countryside.
This first track I heard while at a restaurant in Hickory, NC. I was so enamored with it, that I had to excuse myself from a business dinner, and clumsily shazam it in the bathroom repeatedly until I could get the track information. Huzzah!
