Hello Beautiful,
In the heatwave washed summer streets of Chicago I found myself walking for miles with this soundtrack blaring in my headphones at night. I had been, for quite some time, fighting this increasingly numb feeling that seem to spread coldy throughout myself.
It is in these moments, where I feel "Less Than Zero", that I
desperately turn to music to help me feel something. ... because
truly there is nothing worse to some people that feeling nothing at
all.
So these were the tracks that helped jumpstart my heart, and this
became my soundtrack as I walked through my last few weeks in
Chicago. From the Flat Iron Arts Building of Wicker Park to
Boystown and all the way up to Rogers Park I walked and walked and
walked... and each step I said 'i'll see you soon' to Chicago while
listening to some really really good music.
This mix hones in on the "TearJerker", "Hot Music for Cheap
Hotels", and "Music for Sex, Love, and Despair" sessions. .. and if
you ever feel a bit of numbness, .. well I think this session will
hopefully do the trick (if not just.. well help.. a little bit) in
feeling something.
Much Love Ya'll,
