Beautiful Noise Listeners,
A week late and I'm still scrambling to get this mix together.
I spent the week in San Francisco for an art project, and spent most of the time in this mental headspace of nostalgia and being in love with the city. As you know, San Francisco is my home. I have such heavy ties to that city, my friends, and past loves with that town.. and in this attempt to reconnect to these things, my attempt to do a broadcast fell flat with that... and the ... projects.
Nina and I have this love/hate relationship with Los Angeles. Its alluring, and beautiful. I've found such incredible success in this town and following my dream as a painter, and even landed this amazing relationship with Warner Brothers and Disney painting for them as a licensed artist. But being as that may, my need for mental stimulation and simple inspiration has fallen deep to the wayside. I have decided to postpone my trips to other countries this year to save up and return to the home that I love and miss so much. I have projected that in March of 2013 I will return home.
Now, this broadcast has no introductions or outroductions. Its purpose is to have no voice interruptions and to just serve as a mix for your under the sheet adventures. I often listen to music as a soundtrack to the film that is my life. I think a lot of us do this. We have songs that are pivotal points to things that happen to us. We have songs that bring us to that moment in our movie where we fall in love, when we have sensual escapades, and even when we've lost someone we've loved. This mix is about those songs about sex, love, and despair that I've categorized into my film, and I hope that you can bring these into your own movie about your life.
