Hello Beautiful Noise Listeners!
Welcome back to another edition of glo fi and chillwave with the 6th set of GORGEOUS. I've gotten quite sentimental over this set, especially since the 1st track has resonated so beautifully with all this insane weather changes that have flittered over Los Angeles. Life has become a whirlwind of circumstance and opportunity, which has caused me to hone my workforce into certain avenues.. but I'll tell you... even in the short (VERY short) time I was off and on with this show, that the inability to listen to music (as well as broadcast it) as much as I'd like to has caused me to be flustered and frustrated.
I sometimes forget that this whole show originated because I wanted to play the things that made me inspired and/or made life just a little nicer on Fridays for myself and everyone else. Yeah, I know... its just a show, but this little project over (almost 5 years now) has been such a fantastic thing.. .. so I'm trying to balance this out with the artwork and the day job so that everyone who listens in... can have a better Friday.
This week I got a little sentimental about the power of music. Especially that type of music that makes everything thats happening RIGHT at the moment you listen to much more clear and beautiful. Its those sounds you hear in your headphones or your car stereo that take a normal circumstance of driving or walking down a street into this psuedo-inanimate romance with life. The first song coincides with my own walks down Hollywood Boulevard at night, and my whirlwind daydream unfolding in front of me.
Yes its just reality, but how fantastic it is with music.
