Hello Sleepyheads,
The SleepyHead Radio Collection is finally here with over 2 hours (split into 2 sessions) of the greatest ambient tracks played in the past 4 years. This set originated in 2006 in Seattle as "A is for Ambient", but quickly changed over to this title. That previous set, plus 2 artist sessions (the ultracast 101 and 102) of solely The Orb equals 12 beautiful sessions involving the dreamlike sounds of the musical genre we love to hear called Ambient.
As I compile these sessions, I remember all the times playing these and places where I was dj'ing them. From rainy Seattle, to downtown tenderloin district San Francisco, and even up on Mt. Haleakala in Maui Hawaii, to Hollywood California.. All of these sets held different intrinsic memories for me. Especially when testing the tracks out. There is something so amazing about ambient music when it hits your ears. It can take any ordinary experience of people watching to grocery shopping a whole new heightened experience of awareness and emotion These selected tracks for this collection are the most profound pieces dedicated to those moments.
