I’m happy to present one of my favorite new shoegazer obsessions, Autorotation. Their music is filled with beautiful glitchy textured backgrounds intermixed with dark rich blurry waves of warm instrumental bliss. There are elements that will remind you of Mahogany, Worm is Green, Seely, and Broadcast at times… and just when you’ve think you’ve pigeonholed their sound, it’ll completely change direction into Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, and then Aphex Twin. I think most importantly overall, is that I just simply love the vocalist. Its that clean beautiful voice that just trembles the love, romance, and bliss of shoegazer that I miss so much. And rather than rehash back through the 90’s trying to score a hit of nostalgia, as I’m known to do, Autorotation perfectly satiates the feelings that shoegazer brings. Please check out their site below the track listing, and please stay tuned for future shows showcasing their gorgeous sound.
